Cultural Carnival Energizes Uppsala

Photos by Shubhesh Aggarwal Uppsala was host to a cultural carnival locally known as the Kulturernas Karnival during the weekend of May 21-22.   Concentrated in Engelska parken, the festival featured dance performances, workshops, food, activities for children and tons of music. Through the focus on arts, the festival provided opportunities for artists of every kind to showcase their work and craft. Delivery Day with Väktargatan Food Hub

Kristína Korčeková, part of the Väktargatan Food Hub, checks her list to make sure all of the members get the right groceries. On Thursday May 18th, Väktargatan Food Hub arranged to have its monthly food delivery at Kollaboratoriet as part of the Uppsala Sustainability Festival.   Food Hub members picked up items such as produce, milk and kombucha. The Väktargatan Food Hub allows members to order food online from local producers and has it delivered a few days after the order deadline closes.   Orders typically open once a month. For more…
